Today you’ll visit the Tierra del Fuego National park, one of the most iconic and visited places in Ushuaia. With easy access from the city, it is said that you can get around it any way you want, but the truth is that it might not reveal its secret to those who do not get lost in its scenery or do not stop to revel at the marvels it holds. With our experienced and passionate guides, you’ll be able to discover the true secret of the National Park and get to know this paradise in detail, where mountains neighbor the sea and the sweet water from the lakes and rivers coexist with the marine coast.
In this exciting excursion we can walk through the woods and kayak along long rivers or lakes, or else navigate in an engine boat through the beautiful Lapataia Bay. Our journey around this very special National Park combines ornithology, geology, ecology, hiking, canoeing and photography.
Once our visit is over, we’ll travel back to Ushuaia.

North of Ushuaia await adventure, excitement and the best views of one of the most beautiful places in Tierra del Fuego. Today’s 4x4 Great Adventure is the best way to get to know Fagnano Lake – the fifth largest in Argentina – traveling challenging off-road paths with vehicles specially designed to overcome almost any obstacle that may appear, while exploring the forests and the coast.
We’ll leave Ushuaia and head to the Garibaldi mountain pass, which holds an amazing view of the Hidden Lake, a small wonder tucked away in the bottom of a valley. From there we begin our journey through old abandoned roads, passing through Escondido Lake towards Lake Fagnano. On board our 4x4 vehicles, our experienced driver will take us to discover the forest through impossible mud roads which are transformed into endless footprints that end at the lakeshore. The landscape opens up as we go forward on the two hours of the most exciting 4x4 journey of Tierra del Fuego. We’ll reach an exclusive refuge located in the middle of a natural environment, away from the noises of modern life. In the forest near the Fagnano coast you’ll enjoy free time to walk and explore while our guide prepares a typical Argentinian barbecue, accompanied by a Patagonian Malbec, perfect to share in this relaxed atmosphere.
Big 4x4 Adventure - Duration: 9 h.
Overnight at Ushuaia
We’ll start our excursion for the day with a tour around Ushuaia, discovering its history and admiring the magnificent views it offers up to the base of the Martial glacier. There we’ll set off on our “Flying Adventure”: The Canopy circuit. Surrounded by millenary forests, it offers an outstanding view of the Beagle Channel, with hanging bridges and intermingled zip lines linked up with platforms inside or around the trees – an ideal attraction for adventurers.
After this amazing experience, we’ll return back to downtown Ushuaia for lunch.
After lunch, we’ll embark on a navigation experience through the Beagle Channel. Leaving from the Touristic Pier of the city we’ll enjoy an amazing panoramic view of Ushuaia’s coast and its most important buildings, such as the Maritime Museum (Old Prison), the End of the World Museum, the industrial area, and Mounts Olivia and Cinco Hermanos. We’ll sail Southwest approaching Sea lion Island, where, from the ship, we will be able to enjoy the sight of majestic sea lions, watching them interact with their permanent environment in a wonderful scenery. We’ll continue towards the Bird Island, habitat of the Magellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants, and also a privileged area to spot marine fauna in general. Our journey then takes us towards the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, in the archipelago with the same name, where the Mount Cervantes vessel wrecked on the year 1930.
Following the South coast of the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego we will get to see Estancia Remolino, where the vessel Mount Sarmiento ran aground. Crossing the Beagle Channel heading North-South we will see Gable Island and Port Williams Navy Base (placed on Navarino Island, Republic of Chile). As we reach Martillo Island, we’ll stop near the shore to see the Magellanic Penguin colony that nests there during the summer – they get close to the boat with lively curiosity, swimming under it and appearing again at the other side. It’s an incomparable experience that invites us to take countless pictures.
From there we’ll return to the local pier in Ushuaia, sightseeing through the way back both Estancia Tunnel and Fique.
