You will either leave from La Paz or Isla del Sol, but your destination is the same: Lake Tuni, the trek's departure point to Bolivia's Andean foothills. Once there, you begin an ascent to Lake Condoriri, your campsite for the day, at an elevation of 4650 m.
This entire day is set aside for trekking through lovely mountain settings. You will cross two passes at 5000 meters each and then descend to the Pampa Leon Canyon and Lake Liviñosa. The trek continues to Ancoma, lying in the midst of a small valley yet still situated at 3800 meters. This is your last campsite on the trek.
Ancoma / Chacapampa / La Paz
Your trek from Ancoma to the tiny village of Chacapampa, boasting a thermal power station, lasts but 30 minutes, and once there you will board your bus that takes you back to La Paz.
