Iguazu National Park, covering 55,500 hectares, is named after the river that marks its northern boundary. There, in the midst of a lush sub-tropical jungle, is majestic Iguazu Falls, one of the planet’s largest and most spectacular on account of the river’s powerful flow and its more than 275 drops. You will venture into the midst of the cascades of water, following a pathway of raised footbridges, thereby being able to appreciate this wonder from many different angles. As you walk through the park, keep your eyes peeled for the exotic wildlife.

Overnight in a hotel in Iguazu.

Day 5:

- Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls.

This tropical rainforest attraction is located on the far western side of the Parana River, in Iguazu National Park, an UNESCO World Heritage Site for being one of South America’s largest forest reserves and a habitat to an immense diversity of wildlife. You will ride an elevator down to the bottom of the falls, stopping just above the water level. Then, you will cross a 1000-meter footbridge, stopping at different vantage points to soak in the majesty of Iguazu Falls. Lastly, you ride the elevator back up to the Floreano Falls observation point.

Optional: Visit to the Parque de las Aves (Bird Park), located next to Iguazu National Park, one of the loveliest spots on Earth. Parque de las Aves is a zoo for preserving exotic, endangered birds: a perfect stopover for bird lovers. You will see rare and colorful tropical birds flying in huge aviaries which have been built to blend in with the subtropical forest. You can even enter some of those to see the birds up close. There are more than 150 species in total from all over the world.

Overnight in a hotel in Iguazu.

Day 6:

After breakfast, you will head over to the dock, 23 km from the hotel on the way to the town of Carlos Pellegrini, for the boat trip. If time allows, there will be a barbecue at our covered barbecue pit next to the lake. You will also visit the Ibera Provincial Reserve information center to learn more about the local wildlife.
