Welcome to Lima.

Upon arrival, you will be assisted at the airtport and transfered to the hotel.

EARLY MORNING OR LATE-NIGHT ANTI-JETLAG YOGA SESSION (AT HOTEL, AT YOGA STUDIO, AT “MALECÓN”)

Start your day on the perfect note with an anti-jetlag yoga session to revitalize your body and get you energized for your first day exploring the destination. You will be guided by an expert yoga instructor on this all-level yoga session to kick off your wellness journey. *Depending on group size and selected hotel, this activity might take place within the property or have to be relocated to a yoga studio (extra cost) or a public park. Please, reconfirm options at booking. Yoga mats can also be included by request, with a surcharge of $3 per passenger.

AM - HALF DAY – COOKING WITH SUPER FOODS WORKSHOP AND MARKET VISIT

Peruvian cuisine is recognized as one of the tastiest in the world. In 2019, Peru was named the World's Best Culinary Destination for the eighth consecutive years at the World Travel Awards. Thanks to an outstanding geographical and ecosystemic diversity, Peru features an incredible pantry, made up of local and native products, many of which are recognized as superfoods. Explore the flavors of Peru guided by renowned Peruvian chefs. You will travel throughout the Peruvian territory, identifying the various ecosystems. You will learn about the history and evolution of Peruvian cuisine, including the influence of various cultures, both native and immigrant, that make Peruvian gastronomy a delicious melting pot and one of the richest and most famous in the world. This experience is focus specifically on Peruvian superfoods, their nutritional benefits and how they can easily be incorporated into our diets with a couple of recipes that you will prepare yourself, guided by your expert host chefs.

Includes: Reception, visit of a Peruvian local market, cooking workshop in English or Spanish, aprons that later will remain as gifts, cookbook in English or Spanish with everything learned in class, two drinks per person, culinary souvenir that could be, for example, Maras salt with Peruvian chili peppers, premium Peruvian chocolates or high-end Peruvian coffee.

AM - HALF DAY - CITY TOUR: TOUR OF COLONIAL AND MODERN LIMA / VISIT TO THE LARCO MUSEUM

You will visit the modern and colonial parts of Lima, known as The City of Kings, starting at the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, and passing along a “huaca” or sacred pre-Inca site, before heading to the Historic Center. There, you will walk along some of the most historically important streets of the city, leading to the Plaza de Armas, where you will have some time to take pictures of the amazing colonial architecture that surrounds it. You will also have the chance to take a peek into an iconic building, that has served Lima’s citizens for centuries and continues to be an important landmark. Then you will visit the impressive Convent of Santo Domingo, an astonishing building with colonial style. After exploring the Historical Center, you will head towards the Larco Museum, which houses the incomparable Treasures of Ancient Peru private collection.

At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight.

Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be assisted at the airport and transferred to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

TRANSFER TO THE SACRED VALLEY WITH LUNCH AT HACIENDA SARAPAMPA

Enjoy a scenic trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, towards the Taray area, near Pisac. There, you will head to the Sarapampa Estate, for the true hacienda experience. Tour around the Hacienda Sarapampa by the hand of the Sumar Salas family and discover the agricultural legacy of the inter-Andean valleys and the secrets of growing of the famous giant white corn of Cusco. For three generations in the Sacred Valley, the owners have preserved the traditions associated with corn farming and hacienda lifestyle. Get delighted with the architecture of the state, its stories, its crops and let yourself be impressed by the strong link with the land that has remained almost intact for centuries. The finishing touch will be the exquisite local dishes. Afterwards, you will be transferred to your hotel, to enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your own pace

2D1N MISMINAY ANDEAN COMMUNITY WITH BTCP 

Day 1:

Visit the Misminay community, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Upon arrival, the townspeople will give you a warm welcome with typical music and dances. You will explore local gastronomy through a wonderful cooking class, beginning your experience with the planting and harvesting of some products, according to the season. Then, next to your hosts, you will prepare a delicious traditional dish using only local products, which you will enjoy for lunch. In the afternoon, your hosts will guide you with music and chants towards the Moray viewpoint, where you will have a privileged view of this important Inca agricultural center and the Sacred Valley. At night, your hosts will accompany you next to a bonfire where they will share local stories while you appreciate the beautiful and starry Cusco sky. Afterwards, share with them a delicious Andean dinner before spending the night at a local home.

Day 2:

Enjoy a traditional breakfast before joining the townspeople for a farewell ceremony, where they will express their gratitude for your visit.

HD OLLANTAYTAMBO FORTRESS

You will depart from your hotel in the Sacred Valley towards the town of Ollantaytambo, where you will find the imposing Inca fortress that bears the same name. This place has great historical importance, because it is where Manco Inca defeated the Spanish forces in 1538. You will climb the steep stone steps, from where you will be able to admire the amazing monoliths that form the Temple of the Sun. Finally, you will return to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

At scheduled time, you will be transferred to the Ollantaytambo Station to board your train.

VISTADOME TICKET TRAIN FROM OLLANTA TO MACHU PICCHU

FD MACHU PICCHU FOR SECOND DAY WITH LOCAL GUIDE WITH LUNCH 

A visit to one of the most important tourist destinations in the world: Machu Picchu. The excursion starts with a train trip to the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The natural beauty of the surroundings makes the train the best way to start your visit. When you arrive, you will start the ascent to the ruins, which will without a doubt be one of your most unforgettable experiences. At Machu Picchu you can see every part of one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World, relax and take some impressive photos. Late afternoon you will return to Cusco.

VISTADOME TICKET TRAIN FROM MAPI TO OLLANTA

At the scheduled time, you will be transferred from the Ollantaytambo station to your Cusco hotel.

AM HALF DAY - WALKING TOUR THROUGH THE STREETS OF CUSCO 

Take a tour of Cusco, the imposing Imperial City, example of the harmonious coexistence between the Andean and Spanish cultures. You will start with a visit to the Main Plaza, where you will visit the Cathedral, the most important temple in the city. Then, you will continue by foot until you reach the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and cult center of the Sun God, on which the order of the Dominicans built a church, which remains standing to this day. Your tour will finish with a visit to the bohemian neighborhood of San Blas, also known as “the artists' district”, cradle of well-known folk artisans, with its narrow and winding streets and its popular art and knick-knacks shops.

PM OPTIONAL HALF DAY: COLONIAL GLASS CERAMICS AND ACRYLIC PAINTING IN CUSQUENIAN COLONIAL

ecome a true artisan with this fully immersive and hands-on workshop where you will learn the processes of Colonial Cusquenian Glass Ceramics (lathing, enameling, and painting) and a contemporary version of the Colonial Cusquenian Guild using lamina of brass, aluminum, and acrylic. You will paint a traditional torito and caballito (little bull and horse) of Pucará, traditionally seen in couples on the roofs of houses as a representation of home guardians. They manifest the duality, good marital relations, protection, prosperity and successful realization of goals. You will be guided by recognized local artists through this whole experience, not only crafting a unique souvenir to take back home with you but learning about the city's rich history and the origins of these traditional Guardians of the Andes.

LATE AFTERNOON OPTIONAL: VISIT TO THE CUSCO PLANETARIUM

You will live a unique experience at the Cusco Planetarium, located 15min from the city center, where you will learn about the important relationship of the Andean people with the cosmos. You will enjoy a special projection of starry skies and drawn constellations inside the dome, allowing you to feel closer to the marvels of the universe. Finally, you will go outside, where, depending on weather conditions, you will get to witness the oldest spectacle in the world, observing stars and constellations through professional telescopes and astronomic observation equipment, guided by an expert astronomer.
