The "Death Road", the most challenging road in the world - Bolivia

- Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult

- Height difference: 2700m (down)

Private transportation from La Paz to La Cumbre. The bike ride starts at 4,700m, offering great views of snow-covered mountain peaks. There is a rapid descend on windy roads, temporarily cycling on a bumpy section of the road before entering the jungle. This is the most challenging portion of the trip as you ride over narrow mountainside dirt roads and descend 2,000m through low clouds, mist and dust. The views at this point of the ride offer 1,000m drops, imposing rocky overhangs and cascading waterfalls. The ride becomes increasingly hot and dusty as you reach the base, by which time you will feel slightly fatigued and hot but also exhilarated. The bike trip ends beneath Yolosa, reaching the animal refuge La Senda Verde where you will be served a regenerating lunch consisting of a salad buffet and Pasta before returning to La Paz. Lunch is included in the trip price. Lunch included.
